Mariana Frechel, is a native-born Argentinian from Buenos Aires. She discovered Pilates in 2006 after a work-related injury. After a year of doctors’ appointments and physical therapy, she discovered the Pilates Method in a quaint studio in Palermo, Buenos Aires. Shortly after she began, she immediately fell in love with the method. After 6 months into her practice she was pain free and felt more energetic than ever.
Having discovered the healing and strengthening power of Pilates, she fully recovered from her back injury, and set her sights on helping others. Mariana arrived in Los Angeles in 2011 and enrolled in a 450 hour compressive teacher training program and completed her training in 2013 at Pilates Place, Santa Monica.
After she completed her training, she worked as a full-time teacher at Natural Pilates, Beverly Hills. She is experienced in teaching classes that are both dynamic and athletic based as well as structured and movement focused. Mariana is passionate about getting her clients into their best possible shape. She deepened her practice while teaching at Mind & Motion in Hancock Park where classes were designed to teach the intricacies of movement.
The combination of working and experiencing two unique studios and their method of teaching Pilates, has made her a skilled and qualified teacher. Her classes are dynamic with seamless transitions and full of energy. Her keen focus on body mechanics, spine alignment and breathing are cornerstones of her practice. As a teacher, Mariana helps her clients learn body awareness, understand movement efficiency, and the importance of building strength through proper movement.
Mariana recently move to Palm Springs to pursue a business with her husband, Penny Lane Ranch, the first barn wedding venue to service Palm Spring area. In her free time, she loves hiking with her husband, Chris and her dog, Stevie Nicks.
