Jeanette

Pilates Teacher

Alongside a full-time teaching vocation, Jeanette transformed her love for fitness into a part-time career in 1990. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and a master’s degree in learning handicaps. She loves combining her health and fitness knowledge along with her expertise in individualized education to benefit client’s minds and bodies.

After 24 years teaching in formal education, Jeanette retired from that role and now enjoys working fully in fitness while living in Palm Springs. Her prior fitness roles in Ventura County, California included teaching TRX, cardio kickboxing, step aerobics, hi-lo impact, choreographed strength training, indoor cycling, all to meet various private clients’ needs. She has a love for always expanding her own knowledge, attaining her Pilates certification from Retrofit Pilates for all apparatus in 2007. She currently holds a national Pilates certification with Pilates Method Alliance.

Throughout the years, Jeanette has enjoyed personal fitness activities in addition to what she teaches. Her highlights have included participating in more than a dozen century bicycle rides, a dozen half marathons, hiking to the top of Mount Whitney, and hiking from the South Rim to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in one day. In addition to Pilates, her current fitness regimen includes yoga in addition to hiking local mountains.
